Final project
At the end of a good long year, I’m sad to say that this will be my last project.
It’s been really good and I’m thrilled that I did it, but I’m not going to lie and say that I’m not somewhat glad that it’s over.
The year was epicly great. The greatest year, school wise, of my life. But summer is summer is summer and I’ll be glad to be stress-free for three months.
Oh well. Here it is.
Book pages 2, 3, and 4
Alrighit. So, I’ve had these pages done for a really long time now, but they were just missing the captions. But since the school year ends in a week, I need to turn them in now. So today I buckled down and finished them, so here they are.
Book pages
Fisrt off, I really don’t like this project. I didn’t like it to start out with and I don’t like it now. I dislike the pictures I chose. I’m not fond of my background. And I basically B.S.’ed my way through all of those words. I’m not really sure what it is but I really REALLY didn’t do well on this project.
But.
Oh well. It’s done now and I can always make changes later. “Art is never finished, only abandoned.” And I hope to get the motivation to come back to this later.
Photomontage
I don’t have time today to write a description of the piece. I’ve got the book page project to finish during this hour. D: Someone help!
EDIT!!
I officially DO have enough time to write a bio! Yay! -dances- I finished with my other project earlier than I thought I would so I can put more time into this one!
Alright. Well. The girl in the picture is my friend Molly. And she sits(sat) behind me in English class. And one day she randomly decided to put her head on my shoulder and make a freaky face. So my friend took a picture of it. And it looked really weird to begin with because I looked like I had two heads. But then I started thinking about how easy it would be to crop her head off since her chin line went right o the curve of my neck. So I did. And then I had this floating head and nothing to put it on. Until I started thinking about heads of lettuce and that is how this came about. I got a picture of rows of lettuse and put her head on. I rotated it and flipped it and did all sorts of things to is to make them seam like diffirent faces but they’re not. Which I think makes it cooler. Anyways, Yep. There is it.
Here it is. I call it:
Heads of lettuce
WinMorph (finally)
Alright. I’m done with the project at long last.
The funny blurb that usually accompanies all of my posts: This project was supposed to be a simple practice project while I waited to get a real picture (and some creativity) to get a better WinMorph done. But…wow. I’ve put a lot of work into this. Well, Mrs. Audrey and I have. But it’s done now and becuase I worked so hard on it, I think that it’ll be sufficient for a gradre. (And plus, the card marking ends in a week and I need a better gradde this time around) xD
Anyways, here it is.
Waking Life assesment
Alright. Yikes.
This movie is…interesting. It’s really good, first off. It’s really well done. But besides that I liked it a lot. It was enjoyable to see all those different viewpoints and cool to watch the animation of it. And I think that it had a lot of meaning to it. Like, the way that some people were drawn different than others and how it showed their character was interesting. Overall I really liked it but I’d rather have a full discussion in class then write about it here. Anyways, I did the bare bones minimum and hope it’s good enough.
The SAE Poster
I didn’t like this project. At all. I think I did fairly well. Like, I used a new idea that I wans’t able to apply before so that made me happy but I still don’t like how it turned out. But it’s what I’ve got.
Photo Scavenger Hunt (The Big Shuhbang)
Alright. Finally, all of the Scavenger Hunt pictures that will be turned in are in this batch. So here goes.
Nature:
This is a picture of a pond in Central Park in Manhattan, New York. I absolutely adore Central Park for essentially one reason. It is a large patch of wilderness in a sea of concrete. It’s the only thing that keeps Manhattan from being nothing but an urban jungle and I cherish that even though I don’t live there. You always need balance in things and Central Park really balances the city out well.
Important:
This picture is something that I got by accident. I was sitting on the floor in art class and I could see this view of a friend of mine drawing. And I really loved the angle I got from down there so I took the picture. And now, the way that it ties into the subject. I saw this girl drawing and couldn’t help thinking that she was happy. Very very happy. She was fully content just sitting there, doing something that she loved to do. I think that having something that you can just engulf yourself in is very important. An art. A hobby. Anything. Just something to keep you occupied when everything changes. It’s important.
Kitchen:
This is an…interesting picture for me. It really is something that I set up and not something that I saw and wanted to take a picture of. But it really does hold meaning for me. It was taken after a meal that I had with my family and someone from out of town. A visitor and a loved one. And when I see this picture, it really makes me think about that night and those people. Those feelings you get when you have a nice and cozy night at home. So I guess that is really what this picture is about. Home and family. A love.
Euphoric:
This is another picture form Central Park. It has, more or less, the same meaning to me. Having a utopia in a city. A place like Central Park where you can leave the worries of the city life at the gates. That. That time when there is nothing to worry about. Nothing on your mind. That, I think, is euphoria. And in addition, the real reason I’m submitting this picture, is that I like how it turned out. You get to see the different levels of the city in one picture. And plus, I think it looks cool.
Double:
This is yet another picture of Central Park. (Seriously. There are a lot of things to take pictures of there.) But this picture amuses me because the fence and the sides of the bridge are perfectly symmetrical. The whole thing is, more or less, symmetrical. Except for the person. Standing alone to one side of the picture. I just think it looks really cool.
Tiny:
This is the Empire State building. A cool picture in my opinion. And one with meaning. In a world where we build everything bigger, it can be daunting to think that we’re worth anything. There is an infinate universe and large things in our own world, what do we really mean? I guess that’s the meaning of this picture.
The (Orange) Box:
This is the most oragne I have ever seen. It was the loby to the stage I was at in New York and wow. It was really oragne. I like the picture a lot because the way the lights reflect off the paint and the way the corners of the walls and ceiling look in relation to the banister and the molding on the floor looks really cool.
I think that this is a really cool picture. It’s the shop window for a clothing store on Fifth Avenue in New York. I love the picture because the three maniquins are placed evenly in the frame. And you can see the reflection of a building and a taxi on the window. I like it because it’s really hard to take pictures through glass but this one came out well. I think that this is the best I’ve done in this whole batch.
Anyways. Yep. That’s it. Hope you enjoyed. =)
Altered Perceptions
This project was…troublesome. I couldn’t find an idea for the longest time. And then when I did, it was hard for me to get it together. But after some ingenuity and some Channel Mixing I’ve got this.
